A little about me

Meaningful moments matter.

Born and raised in Washington, I’m the heart behind Rain & Vows NW, a mom of five, a lover of hiking, snowboarding, travel, new places, and the kind of meaningful moments that stay with us long after they happen.

I became an officiant after the pandemic reminded me that even when big celebrations paused, love kept moving forward. Rain & Vows NW is dedicated to love without bounds. Respect is essential, every couple deserves to feel welcomed, and celebrating alongside people on one of the best days of their lives is a blessing I never take lightly.

Alexis is happiest with a coffee or energy drink in hand—usually from Wide Awake Cafe or Espresso Stop—and will stop everything for a seal or otter sighting. If there’s a coffee stand nearby, she’s probably already found it.

Why Rain & Vows Feels Like Home

Alexis is a Washington-rooted officiant, mom and adventure lover who believes ceremonies should sound like the people actually getting married—not like a script that has been passed around for twenty years.

Family life is a big part of the perspective behind Rain & Vows: celebrations can be beautiful, meaningful and deeply personal without needing to be perfectly traditional.

Mountains, coastlines, rain, glasshouses and unexpected little ceremony locations are all welcome here. The goal is a calm presence, words that feel true, and enough flexibility for the day to still feel like yours when real life inevitably happens.

Rain & Vows may have started with Alexis behind the ceremony script, but it has grown into something we build together. Family is woven into the way we think about weddings: the logistics, the tiny details, the personalities, the unexpected moments, and the people who make a day feel like home.

Alexis leads the ceremony side. Justino brings the planning brain, hands-on experience, setup skills, and calm attention to timing. Together, we want couples to feel like there are real people in their corner—not a wedding factory.

Born in Wenatchee and raised in Washington, Justino has spent most of his working life in construction—painting, drywall, roofing, electrical work and just about everything in between. He is the kind of person who notices the little details, watches the clock and would rather have a plan before something becomes a problem.

That same mindset is what he brings to Rain & Vows. From setting up a small elopement and making sure décor is where it belongs, to coordinating the moving pieces of a proposal or keeping a wedding-day timeline on track, Justino is happiest when there is something to organize, build or figure out.

Justino loves long drives in his WRX, One Piece, and collecting Pokémon cards. You can catch him wandering card shows about as often as Alexis can be found in a coffee stand drive-through—which is saying something.

Alexis brings the words. Justino makes sure the plan actually happens.
